Knowing the mini z following for sure they will release some alloy wheels for it. Hopefully the after market jumps on board also. Mini z cars are pretty bullet proof when it comes to reliability. I'm glad they jumped into the ring. I will definitely be scooping one up for house crawling. Thank you for the review.

I was wondering why you'd been relatively quiet... glad everything's good in RC Review-world (except the airports, I imagine) and look forward to seeing more stuff! The Mini Z looks fantastic but I'm still tempted by the new C10 SCx24...

I am right there with you! I can get both new C10 Scx24 models for about the same price as 1 Mini Z...Now to have 1 Scx24 and upgrade to have similar stock parts as Mini Z would be around the same price. I had one of the early run batches of Scx24 that was a dud, which left a little driver very very unhappy during that long period of "out of stock of everything" so I was forced to return it. So that is the only thing that make me anxious about getting another one, a lot of my friends got some SCX out of post November batch and they did not have any issues. Mini Z Hard body looks nice on a shelf, but will probably get destroyed by my little drivers.

KeepingIt OneHundred The Mini Z looks fantastic, but with such tiny wheels it's probably indoors-only, realistically - plus it didn't seem to have much torque when Francis was driving it. C10 on the other hand should have the lightest body of all the scx24s and the lowest cg. Tyres seem a little smaller, which is less helpful, though they do look better than the Jeep's. 😁 And yes, also looks far more likely to survive a tiny driver...

I mean the scx24 is a lot more capable but the mini-z looks a lot more realistic. I’m lucky that my local hobby shop has a 1/24 scale crawling competition every Thursday and sometimes a “night” run. A lot of people swap the scx24 motor for the one that comes with the Barrage.

When you was running it, was it in trainer mode? Wondered if it was same as the Mini Z's where you must HOLD throttle down before turning it on for 3 secs then release trigger to get all the power. Also try running it with those 750 mah Orion or PN Racing AAA batteries over your standard Alkaline batteries if your not already, might like that little extra pop.

Amazing little rig if you're looking for true scale that actually functions like a real 1:1 truck... The price point isn't bad at all because anyone from the RC car world knows your gonna put that $80 back into the SCX24 Jeep to make it even look scale or to find a hard body to match up. I'm no fan of Lexan at all and feel it gives the cars a Barbie look, the Scx24 Jeep doesn't even look scale with 42" tires too, now the C10 is cool but yet again the bodies are incomparable (night and day quality). Run time on triple A batteries is 60 plus minutes, with a lipo you only get about 30 minutes, so for me Kyosho hit it out of the park with this rig! The Toyota Offroad world is huge so for all the haters keep buying your Lexan rigs and leave these for the true scale driver who wants the realism of being in a real 1:1 rig and not doing lines that are beyond incapable of a real 1:1 (fake dreams)...

Mini-z is not a toy,....look into them, they have been making high quality models for a long time. Very nice en precisely build. I am hoping for oil filed shocks as a tuning part.

@@muchagrande1687 Hi I owned many mini Z rc's they are nice ( 1/24 on roads )but when they make them for off road they are not built like lets say the axial 1/24 the mini z is bulky and made more like a toy the axial is in a different league it will out perform this mini z there is no comparison in the two designs the axial you can clearly see is a more capable chassis.

Hello, just an question why dont you tryed it with stock gear ? you have so much possibility here to run with appropriate ration for crawling ...6 pignions why not try the medium for see it s will be more corect i think because anothers models dont have ...so, good video but sorry you have not watch the best of this mini z i think thanks ;)

Looks good but I have learned my lesson with the mini z monster truck , super fun but not durable , everything cracks and breaks , and parts are more expensive than a whole truck from banggood . My mini z is sitting on the shelf looking pretty collecting dust and daily using the HBX micro crawler , which feels 10 times stronger .

Lipo Batteries have too much voltage. But there is a battery call LIFE and they can be used.

Actually 4 Nimh batteries are powered enough for Mini-z, don't try to use any alkaline or zinc-carbon batteries on it, they are way too weak. But if you want more power than Nimh, you can use 2 10400 Lipo with 2 dummy batteries. you don't need any mod or convert.

I could be wrong but I think there are Triple A's that are lipos that you can recharge.

You are right. some Mini-z racer use 2 10400 Lipo with 2 dummy batteries on their Mini-z. but I think good quality Nimh batteries are powered enough.

mini z's have been waaaay over priced since their inception and this model is no exception what we have here is a run of the mill crawler with a licensed body to drive up the price for the same price as this late to the mini scene truck i got the rc4wd ALL METAL chassis - metal, axle housings - metal steering and suspension links - metal, shocks - metal, transmission and gears - metal steel BEADLOCK wheels and a hard plastic body with FULL interior - no need for "smoking" the windows i would pay 119.99 usd tops for this its not worth 200

I like the fact that is runs on AAA batteries. No more recharging with special thing bullshit. I see they are more expensive and heavy but I would rather pay 20 dollars for 30 AAA batteries and be able to run this little rig everywhere I go than having in lighter and possibly more powerful lipo. That is very important for me since for the space of a lipo charger is much more than say, 20 aaa batteries. Plus no need to plug in for recharge.

Oil cannot be retained in Chuck’s this tiny. But folks can put in some grease or death fluid to slow it down.

Just got one, the gray Toyota 4x4. Out of the box the unit needed adjustment. First, after a couple uses the on/off switch popped further into the control box and became hard to operate. Had to open up the box and put a little bit of foam behind the switch. Second, the unit seemed to be easily hung up by minor obstacles, with the slipper clutch engaging and the motor spinning while the unit doesn't move. Kyosho customer service suggested pushing the main drive gear to seat the bearing. Minor adjustments for hobbyists used to fine tuning their equipment but the product is promoted as "Your First R/C car!" Update: Still getting hung up on the tiniest obstacles, only runs well on a smooth floor. Returning this junk.

John Alfano only difference is the Chevy comes with a front bumper and a transmitter, while the Ford does not. Thus, the Ford is priced lower.

Good luck selling those at that price. Did they look into what's out there or are they relying on a fan base. Not impressed with Phillips head screws, wheels,batteries ,ect. I think someone got paid for this review lol.

I love mini crawlers and i really wanted to like this one but the price does not reflect the quality at all in my opinion. It seems like its half toy grade half hobby grade. The scx24 is much nicer quality, actually has upgrade options, and is $80 less. seems much more practical. and if your going for scale then the rc4wd 1/18 for $20 more is extremely better quality and has upgrade options for scale parts and just parts in general. overall im extremely unimpressed (besides the body). The only people I can see getting this are mini z collectors or people that are buying based off looks. Im honestly curious what Kyosho was even thinking with this truck.

I thought this at first too, but to be honest, 30 minute run time is plenty. If you use rechargable AAAs, just have another set on stand by, rinse and repeat. I believe the weight of the AAA batteries is beneficial to traction on these tiny trucks. I think it's better tbh

The biggest problem with these batteries is the wait. They were 50 g and there’s no way to put that weight down low.

@@RCReviewChannel The accents and accessories like wipers, door handles, window trim etc. they come standard on the Kyosho while they are all optional on the TRX4. I had to order them separately from Bangood/wish.
