@@boomshakalaka415 No . A lot of Japanese business hotels offer flat fees regardless of seasons ( high /off seasons ) ,so it really doesn't matter ,no change for covid ! For the regular hotels ,it varies a lot & reflects a lot & much cheaper right now under the covid threat .Stay safe !💜🥁🎵🐉🎤🎶💕💞

Thank you for making this video. I stayed in this hotel 5 years ago when I stayed in Kyoto. It is a little bit older for a business hotel, but it is still quite clean and well-maintained. It is a good starting point for exploring the city, and its location directly across from Kyoto Station makes it handy for side trips to other Kansai cities like Osaka and Nara or getting out of town on the Shinkansen or on the express to Kansai Airport.

Such fond memories of Kyoto. Every time I visit, I can't NOT have a bit of an explore around that massive station building 😊 As for the room, it might be small to European or American standards, but for a Japanese room it's perfectly fine. It looks nice and clean, modern, and I assume everything works. And in this partcular hotel free access to the onsen is included, I guess? The "paper" windowblinds are a nice touch to hide away the hideous view you usually get in cheap city hotels, without blocking the light.

To keep everything under your budgets ,you should stay at a business hotel like this one right by train stations ,or the ones are connected to 'em & you'll save your $$$ for hotel & transportation fees !!! So, only thing you'll be paying attentions to will be foods ! And yet still you can get all the yummy things in a lower price range there & expect 'em to be good if you know where to go ! I have two worries about taking a trip to Japan - 1. My lack of understanding of Japanese - I am glad to see a lot of English signs. 2. I do not know Japanese etiquette or manners, I do not wish to offend without knowing the social rules. I am from England and enjoy visiting different cultures and peoples. We wanted to see the Sakura this year but sadly we were locked away in England hiding under our beds in this emergency. I am watching all your videos for information.

I’m Welsh and visited Japan in the spring of 2018. I had similar reservations prior to my trip but, for what it’s worth, based on my research, most Japanese natives seem to be reasonably forgiving of some of the typical etiquette faux pas made by foreigners. That’s not a licence to be culturally ignorant, of course, but it was reassuring to know that they allow some leniency. From what I’ve heard, it seems like they appreciate the intricacies and idiosyncrasies of their own culture and sort of take it as a given that foreigners won’t get it 100% right. I think the key thing when going to any culture is to just try your hardest and based on my experience, I found them to be very kind. I will admit that the language barrier can be tricky but learning basic phrases can be so helpful. Not necessarily because it will let you communicate effectively - more as an ice breaker. The fact that I was making effort instantly seemed to make people receptive and helpful. Even if they didn’t quite understand what I was saying at all times, they were certainly committed to trying their hardest.
@tinglestingles
@tinglestingles 3 жыл бұрын
@@VicodinElmo Thanks, that's my understanding also. I understand saying single words or short phrases in English rather than long sentences seems to help. I believe younger people take English lessons at school but may not fully understand English grammar and may be embarrassed or lose face, so do not try?
@_w_w_

@@tinglestingles Many Japanese words are created from English, phonetically. In addition, Japan does a really good job and posting a few words of English on just about every sign in key tourist areas. Another thing, Google Translate is pretty awesome - I've seen it used constantly.
