KZ covers remind me of the time Whitney Houston covered "The Greatest Love Of All" and since then, people have been thinking it was her original even though Whitney has always been attributing the song to George Benson. Another is Nirvana's cover of "Man Who Sold The World" which was originally David Bowie's. They were all great but for a song to survive time, even if just for a few more decades, it has to be rehashed to fit the current times. And KZ did exactly that. She pulled the old established songs from an alternate reality where boundaries of music genres do not exist and made her own arrangement. That's just boss level artistry
