It doesnt portray thr legion as if it is another highspeed .ilitary unit that does ninja stuff, rather it showd that the legion is sometimes viewed as an idealization of what a man should strive for and how only through suffering can one find themselves. As you can see in the video, there's an american guy who went to the recruiting station 33yrs of age after being imprisoned in the US and was rejected by the US mil. He later became a sniper if im not mistaken in 2eme REP, you can read about him in cervens, you can start reading about him from the very beginning (in his own thread share) when he was asking the senior/ active guys in the forum on how to get there until finally making it into the legion, he detailed the processes etc until he later stopped commenting because he finally made it into the 2eme REP

I'm not a specialist though and I strongly suggest you to visit the French Foreign Legion official KZfaq channel and website in order to find the informations you are looking for. From what I've heard there's also a forum called cervens where you can ask questions about the French Foreign Legion if you need to.

I would not and could not join the Legion for I did my time with the United States Marine Corps. I did my 12 years but could not finish (medically).

@@kevinphillips150 12 years is a long time to be in the Corp. The way we had to brutalize our young bodies in the military, its a wonder we dont have to crawl everywhere we go. I played for 09 yrs, Army, 82nd Abn, 13F3P. You being a marine, always had to keep the brisk pace everywhere you men went. Now we get to set back and watch the Russian / Ukrainian fireworks... going to be ugly once the Russians momentum gets going. They have never cared about who or how many people / soldiers died as long as they captured the main objective. LOL, no holds barred type of combat. The way wars need to be fought, no quarter given or the outcome is always left in doubt and unsettled, grrrr. Take car Teufel Hund
