Yeah, but there's an actual reason why women have 24x less chance to be colorblind . Before we used to be hunters & and gatherers, women tended to pick fruit, so they developed more cone cells that let us perceive colors to pick ripe and safe foods to eat . This in turn let them be more reluctant against colored blindness -🤓

It's not more cone cells, it's more chromosomes (2 for gals vs only 1 for guys) directing how the cone cells get made.

fake as hell, its actually because the color blindness alleles are bound to the X chromosome, and since women have 2 X chromosomes (XX), they would need them both linked to the color blindness alleles in order to be a colorblind person, which is a lower chance. Since men only have 1 X chromosome (XY), they only need the allele to be linked with the only X chromosome they have, in order to be colorblind, which is more likely.🤓🤓🤓

actually it is because the X-chromosome is what causes colorblindness and men have only 1 but women have 2 that also means that if your mom is colorblind you are too(if you are male)

As someone who is colourblind, I’ve been saving for these glasses. But at the same time, I don’t even have a job yet..I agree that hollis gardens is so cool, as I live in lakeland too. I’m so happy for you, I almost cried.

Ok being color blind must suck but you know whats worse being able to see color but not knowing what your looking at 😂 (i have horrible eye sight) i remember the first time i got glasses i was so shocked to see the world in so much detail i mean it went from not being able to see the amount of leaves on a tree to being able to see even the smallest of lines on a leaf.

they weren't i have the same type of colorblindness he has, and i see in color - it's just harder for me to distinguish certain shades of red and green and composite colors with strong red/green components from one another than it is for you. coke cans are still very clearly red, and grass is green - almost no one sees in black/white/gray also these glasses don't work. they put a filter on everything and make it slightly easier for some people to distinguish some colors from one another - they absolutley do not let users see a single color they can't see without them
