We had a Decwriter II in high school 1977-79 The sound of the printing brought back so many memories. Ours was hardwired though leased lines to the school district's HP 2000.

Thanks for sharing. In the 80's my high school also had one. I think it was connected to some BOCES machine somewhere. I never really used it, instead there were some early PCs that ran Pascal. Thanks again!

my college had 2 of these, I remember using them when all the terminals were occupied, guess nobody wanted to use them, but they worked and thought it was kinda. fun. Think i was the only one to use them :)

This was used as a terminal on DEC mini computers. Keyboard to enter information and interact with the computer and printer to display outputted information (and listings etc) from the computer. Think of it as a glass terminal but using paper instead!
