Biodynamic wine explained to as many people as possible was my goal when I started filming this documentary. After studying the world of wine, I realized that few people knew about this modern agriculture, which requires above all to be in organic farming and to apply some biodynamic preparations throughout the wine season.
After a cinema release in 2011, the documentary was screend extensively in agricultural education to the point of being a reference documentary film for certain teachers.
The biodynamic farming method consists of thinking about agriculture within complex agricultural organisms in the presence of animals and diverse crops, in total harmony with nature. The wine world quickly understood the challenge of this agriculture. La Clef des Terroirs presents the real challenges of biodynamics in the world of wine by following the work of exciting winegrowers, whose priority is to respect the terroir to pass it on in its integrity to future generations.
