It’s a brilliant anthem. Here in England we have an anthem that is very low key, positive in hoping that our king remains long to rule over us . No nastiness to our enemies , most of whom were swept up by despotic governments and sent to die without respect. So we may have a somewhat rubbish anthem ,but only two conquerors , Julius and William The Bastard. She sings it brilliantly though doesn’t she ?

Eu sinceramente acho o "Deus salve o rei" mais emocionante ! Nao manda derramar sangue do semelhante mas apenas pede que o inimigo receba o mau que ele mesmo planeja e pede prosperidade e felicidade a todo o país ! Alias esse foi o primeiro hino ocidental e o antecessor do costune dos paises terem um hino e com certeza não sou ingles nem quero se-lo ! 😂

Desgraciadamente mi país hace casi 90 años que es infestado por un cáncer llamado peronismo y eso ha hecho que se degrade socialmente aumentando a niveles extremos la vulgaridad, la vagancia a costa del Estado, la falta de educación, de respeto a la cultura del trabajo, etc, etc, etc. No sé si seremos cagones, somos cientos de miles los que hacemos trabajo de hormiga para extirpar éste cáncer y a veces a riesgo de nuestras propias vidas. Puedo concederle que no somos tan unidos como otros pueblos y eso nos juega en contra, tiene que ver con el cáncer peronista que infectó mentalmente varias generaciones y es complejo cabiarles la mentalidad, pero se va a ir dando. Puedo concederle que somos habladores y eso también nos juega en contra porque decimos y no hacemos. Afortunadamente, aunque no se publicita porque no da prensa, eso también viene cambiando y lo viene haciendo desde el interior. Saludos cordiales.

I hope Mirreille Mathieu will be chosen to sing the French anthem in the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic games. Her performances with this anthem are absolutely captivating and she feels every word. I feel it is the least France can do to reward her for those performances.

Si una mujer debe cantar la Marsellesa, es ella. Su voz tiene personalidad para interpretar esta obra de arte. En cambio las que lo cantan como si fuera opera, destruyen el himno,a menos que sea un intérprete masculino.

Dicen que las tropas francesas que entraron en París en el Día de la Liberación durante la SGM, en Agosto de 1944, lo hicieron cantando con toda la energía que tenían ése famoso Himno, los soldados de la 4° División Blindada Francesa, y los Paracaidistas, todos junto al pueblo que aplaudía el paso de las Tropas Aliadas en su entrada a la capital de Francia...!!
