I don’t speak a word of French, but love her music. I once shared an apartment with a French woman who told me about her shortly after her death was announced in the early 60’s. I have since seen a couple of movies about her. It’s such a blessing to find this online!

🎉I listened to the album that these songs are on, the summer I lived in Toronto in 1967. My heart sings whenever I hear Piaf and these songs! I was 18 & cherished the beauty, strength, and indifference to "society's," norms that she embodied, just with the quality of her voice! I still do, at a healthy 75!

Love this song “La Vie en Rose”. Not only for the lovely lyrics but the melody as well. It is very beautiful indeed; and Edith Piaf sing it wonderfully.
