Thanks Charlie, loving the Labrador training videos at various ages. I’ve been building elements of this into daily walks with mine and we’re both enjoying the benefit!

I found this really helpful, specifically the part around taking the next steps towards a walk with the dog. I'm guilty of allowing my dog a little to much independence and freedom and certainly have seen its impact on my dogs focus on me over the environment. The steps outlined are really straight forward and I appreciate your concise explanation of consequences and when they should be applied.

Hi Charlie, Getting so much from your videos. Thanks to you and the team for putting the time in to create these; I recognise it is a time consuming process. We've adopted a Korthals Griffon/Brittany Spaniel cross, Skittles (the vet approximates he's about 4-years), that was found stray in a nearby forest and, despite a lot of publicity, hasn't been reclaimed. Skittles has spent 8+ weeks in the local refuge whilst this process has been going on. My partner and I both come from dog families, including working dogs (my grandfather coursed whippets to UK champion level), so have a grounding in dog handling/ care. Skittles has a very strong prey drive, some obedience skills, limited engagement and is currently poor on the lead. It would be great to hear/see your thoughts and ideas on rehabilitating or taking on adult dogs, where you're navigating an unknown history.

Hi Charlie, brilliant videos really enjoying them. Just got a cocker and she's a bit of a challenge but you're videos are really helping. Some more cocker videos would be awesome especially any advice on how to get them to pay attention

All your videos are great but for me these last 2 videos were amazing and I feel have informative content regarding what to expect at various ages, what’s acceptable and what’s not, this kind of information is invaluable to the everyday dog owner who wants to get the best out of their dog. You can’t read this in a book or google search. Fantastic. Information like the lead carrying my Cockapoo does only on excited mornings, he’s 7 month and he knows his heel but is testing now at his age and almost falls on deaf ears now, hopefully it’s just a phase. Keep up with the little hints and tips on where and why fors, also enjoying your FB stories 🚔naughty 😂

Love the videos, thank you! I have a young cocker (12 weeks) and he’s quite whiney when we go out on walks, even though we’re only doing limited stuff at the moment. Seems to be looking for reassurance and if I stop he’ll jump up and tuck his head into me. I see so much conflicting advice online, from “dog’s broken, sell it and get a new one” to “nothing to worry about, he’ll grow out of it.” Is there anything I should be doing to help him? Any insight you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

He’ll be fine. His confidence will grow with every walk. Just don’t pick him up when you see another dog.

Really interesting video! I have never owned a retriever or spaniel only border terriers and my current one is of the charts excited. I want to transition her on to a slip lead and I am interested as from a lot of videos on KZfaq they say the leash has to be high under the chin however yours seem much lower and looser which to me looks much comfier and effective but I am not educated enough to know if it hurts them in this position or is it just for puppies as they learn apologies for my newbie question. If you haven’t could you please run through this on a video or if you already have done one, point me in the direction of it? Keep up the good work! Many thanks

Hi Charlie, a few months ago my noe 8mo old springer ran off, he used to have great recall, as he’s got older his recall has gone from perfect to nill. 9/10 times on the long line he comes back, but I’m not confident enough to let him off the lead yet as I don’t want to lose him due to the fact we live near a busy road. Any advice?
