This is my favourite food in Hong Kong; nay, the whole world.

Since uploading this video I have learnt several things: 1. Whole Foods in the US now sells ice cream mochi. I hate this because I feel like I deserve ice cream mochi more. I will come to your country and take it from you. You have been warned. 2. Ube is actually a purple yam potato from the Philippines and distinct from taro. 3. After looking at pictures of the old packaging for this ice cream mochi, I see that the ube flavour was also made by Kowloon dairy. Therefore I don't know if Lotte even makes an ube flavour. Ube is excellent, and a fun word to say.

lachlanlikesathing please come take our ice cream mochi, we won't even make you prove that you deserve it more than us. Also the mic quality is 🔥 (good fire not bad fire)

Great. Now I'm going to have to go to whole foods tomorrow and get some mochi. My 2 year old loves the stuff. As do the wife and I. Trader Joe's stocked it in a wonderful green tea flavor. And all of the Asian grocery stores by us have a lot of different flavors (Portland, OR) come visit, first round is on me haha. The mic is good, sounds great. The hair cut is on point too! More of this type is video is going to be awesome. Glad to see this "series" back.

The way you described when is best to eat the ice cream mochi, is exactly how I prefer to eat it too. Not too melty and not too frozen

Looks delicious. The frozen purple yam is sold in Vietnamese grocers and I have seen it used vietnamese dishes. Love the colour.

Mochi has the exact same text as foreskine. What could be better than foreskin covered ice cream. Man has come so far.

My local grocery has a pretty good stock of them - I usually get the mango or the red bean ones. They're pretty expensive there (8 pack is $6 ~ $8 USD) so sometimes I go to Chinatown for cheaper ones. I haven't had one for awhile now as I'm PH right now... but hey, it's an ube-fest here.

These are actually quite common in the US. They have rhem at Whole Foods in lots of flavors!

if you ever end up in hawaii, do check out “bubbie’s ice cream.” they make their own mochi ice cream locally and it’s excellent! they make so many flavors as well. it’s quite popular here.

I also enjoy ice cream mochi, haven’t seen any taro flavored ones around me so far. We do have a couple of stores with ice cream mochi bars, where you can choose your own flavors.

Unknown. You can usually find vanilla at Asian grocers though. They don't taste as good (to me) for some reason.
