Baklava if done right should not have ANY dry bits, it should be lightly soaked all over i.e. should have absorbed the syrup without having it dripping off when you pick it up. My aunt makes rolled baklava with walnuts and it's literally the best thing I've ever eaten.

Baklava is wonderful but it'd be a tough call with a well made bakewell tart. Vimto every day over Turkish Lemonade. Turkish Turkish delight is great but there's definitely a nostalgic place in my heart for Cadbury Turkish Delight. Marmite tastes worse than Bag-Lady's period.

I am originally from turkey and I didn’t know you had to eat baklava upside down but it does make sence due to all the syrup at the bottom. Whenever my mum makes baklava now ik how to eat it 😂

Just so everyone knows us Turks don’t eat pekmez (molasses) on its own like that, you mix it with tahini and the combination is just divine and it’s the best with simit. People who’ve tried traditional Turkish breakfast would’ve tried it
