Missed a few essential kiwi classics on this one. Pineapple lumps, petrol station pies, Tui beer, Whittakers chocolate. Not saying all of them are always great, but they're definitely ingrained in the culture.

Pinky bars! My aunt, who's lived in oz for about 35/40 yrs now, always buys up heaps of pinky bars when she comes home. I think jaffas are a kiwi thing too aren't they? Eta, have you tried the pineapple lump ice cream bars? They're pretty good!

I hate marmite, it's too strong for me, but I LOVE Vegemite & the Aussies do a great version called Promite 🤤 You've gotta have it on toast with shitloads of butter/Marg n only tiny little dabs of Vegemite/promite

@LADbible i think growing up in NZ my household would have thinly buttered marmite with thin cheese slices you cut yourself and mashed eggs and lettuce its more of a savoury taste that can be eaten for lunch along with using it in mince stews or gravy❤❤❤

Ha, wondered which kiwi beer they’d give him. Then speights, the worst beer here, imo. Also we have beer cold here in nz which makes the flavour completely different.

Hey, Speights isn't good, but it's not the worst we have. Haagen, Steinlager, Tui (somehow both sickly sweet and harsh at the same time), and DouBro are all miles worse. Speights' worst sin is being mid. Still not a patch on DB Draught though where Kiwi macro brews are concerned.

Those spreads 🤢 marmite and gentlemens relish is like asking would you like to get hit in the face by a cricket bat or a baseball bat. Nobody wins. Think if you swapped whittakers creamy milk for the chocolate fish and Cadbury diary milk for the bounty would have been a good tester. Bring in a kiwi to try british snacks. Be a good laugh lol.

Don't know about Speckled Hen, but Speights is objectively awful. There's some great beers in NZ (as I'm sure there are in the U.K)- Speights isn't one of them

These arent even quintessential nz snacks. Marmite sucks, the only things you really got right was the choc fish and twisties. Wheres the maggi noodles? Raro? Pineapple lumps, peanut slab, chips and onion dip, pics anything, whittakers anything, kumara chips, anything from proper crisps or copper kettle, L&P- i can literally go on and on
