Jessica the exact same thing happened to me after a 38 year marriage. Be glad you realized the futility of loving him when he really wasn't there for you. Even at my age (63) it's not too late for a fresh start and to find a wonderful man who will return all the love you have to give. I've been so blessed and wish the same for you. I wanted him more... after 20 years of marriage, he destroyed it. While I was trying to draw water from a dry well, waiting for him to honor his wedding vows... in sickness and in health... asking for love and affection... he gave me nothing. No empathy or compassion. He pushed me away like trash while putting his friends and fitness first. He refused to work on the marriage by answering with extreme defensiveness or silence. I finally gave up. I focused on my own healing. I no longer need him. The spiteful hurt and refusal to ever apologize finally did me in. One sided marriages with manipulative people just do not work. This song speaks volumes. Yes, I loved him more and now doubt he ever loved me at all.

After ending a 9 years relationship, I have to admitt that I loved him more. This song describes- literally- how I feel because now, all makes sense. We had so many ups and downs. We were trying to recover something that must have been lost a long time ago. Or, maybe it was just me who was trying to do that. Sometimes, you think that everything could have been different but, when you realize that it would never happen, you just close chapthers to start a new ones. Finally, I only wish him the best. He began a new relationship and I honestly didn´t expect it so soon. However, it has just accelerated my process to heal. I have no regrets or resentment toward him. I will keep in my memory all the good moments we lived. It was hard for me to recognise "I wanted him more" but, as soon as I did it, I was able to sum up what went wrong and understand it´s time to continue with my life even stronger, more successfull and prettier than ever. It´s time to leave all the pain, tears, sorrow and self-pity what´s more, It´s my turn to keep growing up.

Lady Antebellum never disappoints. Even when I turn away from country for a while, I come back finding them still as my favorite. Their music absolutely speaks to my heart.
