If you watch Jeremy Boreing's interview with PBD. It was hard to cast actors for this movie, because a lot of people very afraid to be canceled. They worked on what ever they had

@satireskeptic6787 True, but it's an over the top comedy made on the cheap. Boreing quoted $7M. I'm sure that doesn't buy a lot of established actors, especially on something nobody wanted to touch. Just watched it, and for what it is, it's very successful. Not every joke landed, a few lines were kinda hamfisted, but overall, it was hilarious.

Lol it’s the comedy that should have been made years ago ,, I remember when I was watching the news and that 6foot 4 guy beat all them girls swimming, I thought it was a joke and my kids told me it was real that they really let that huge guy win and even take home the trophy 😂 I said then that would make a good comedy movie 😂😂😂

I loved it and thought it was hilarious and it sure felt good to just laugh instead of looking for criticism to complain about. Reminded me of the brilliance of Mel Brooks when he made comedy.movies that were so outrageous.

The movie you had in mind with Mike Tyson in the end was The Scary movie, though I forgot which one exactly. But yeah, even back then they already made a joke about men posing as women and creeping into women's sport.

I just watched it, and it's not bad! It's entirely political satire from a conservative perspective, which was refreshing. It's the first I've seen with the balls to make fun of our weird social and political climate right now. Not every joke landed for me (which is subjective) but at least they went out and said whatever the hell they wanted, and made a fun movie without worrying about the consequences of being cancelled. I want to see more people, from all perspectives, just making good movies and other entertainment again without cancellation and the threat of bodily harm hanging over them. Lol, one can dream.

@@darrengordon-hill I guess cancelled in the court of public opinion, in regards to those who don't agree with DW. I don't think any DW subscribers would try to cancel it, and I don't think DW would take it down from their site, even if there is an uproar and call for cancelling. I do think that just the trailer being out there, in front of a broader audience beyond DW subscribers, has drawn attention and several commentators from different political perspectives have already been talking about it, which is good. But that's where the attempt at cancelling could come in. The contents of the trailer by itself are already raising eyebrows, and it seems like any kind of controversy can lead towards cancellation.
