I love how they can't refuse Lady Danbury and they either gave in to or run and hide from her. She has really made herself terrifying lol. I hope to see more of Lady Danbury and the Viscountess in season2. Maybe both of them finding love again in the case if Violet. I love how Daphne and her mother are equally excited about the Duke. The Viscountess is meh about the prince but lights up when it comes to the duke

The whole time I was mystified by Anthony's astounding inability to comprehend that his mother and Lady Danbury, two extremely experienced society ladies, were *far* better suited to arranging a match than he could ever be. Having a mistress he did not even reliably support, and not courting any ladies of the ton, I think that he needed a Lady Danbury lecture (and whack from the cane) even more than Simon did! Although I also thought that Lady Bridgerton needed to simply drag him by the ear in front of the Queen and explain that he was the one trying to pawn Daphne off onto the lowest bidder.

@ Daniel S, there was a scene at a ball,where Lady Danbury approaches the Bridgertons and tells Daphne she looks lovely,but says she hasn't seen her on the dance floor. The hovering Anthony says " All in good time ". Lady Danbury looks at Daphne and says " You poor thing". I have to agree that Violet and Lady Danbury, would have done so much better guiding Daphne thru her first season.

@@asan4410 I have read 5 of the books in the series, including both the Duke and I & the Viscount Who Loved Me. I found Gregory's story to be my favorite among the 5 I have read. I think the tv show is a lot more entertaining than the series of books.

Daphne blew me when she pulled that lil trick or whatever from under her sleeve and wanted to be petty as all get out showing up to the ball in that necklace given to her by the prince (yeah he was cute or whatever but there wasn’t really anything there between the prince & Daphne) though I do know she did that out of hurt and anger and wanted revenge on the duke for pushing her away so I’m not that upset but you know what I mean😂

Plus with those titles come land and money 💰 She does have a lot of children to marry off and with no husband around she’d want to ensure at least one of her children make an advantageous match.
