This is not intended as an educational dressing video, but is simply meant to showcase the garments I constructed specifically for the c. 1895 Lady Sherlock project. Shoes, stockings, collar, petticoat, and blouse are modern reproductions; the latter two are not close historical reproductions.
A more correct dressing sequence for an 1890s crime-solving lady would include:
Stockings (gartered below the knee or suspended from the corset)
Shoes
Combinations (alternatively a separate chemise and pair of drawers)
Corset
Bustle pad
Corset cover (omitted from Lady Sherlock for time)
Petticoat
Shirt-waist (with detachable starched collar)
Skirt
Waistcoat
Overcoat
Sundry such deerstalker hats, pocket watches, pipes, &c.
Cinematography by @DannyBanner
Pocket watch and chain from the lovely Alan of Fine Times Watches, / finetimeswatches
