Two months earlier I saw them at Camden's KOKO this song rounded off a lovely evening. Helen was wearing a head to toe gold party dress, she was a sparkling angel of synth rock. It's been some year for them.

Everyone is so uncomfortable trying to pull off this facade. There is NOTHING live here! Singing along to a pre-recorded vocal track. Music is pre-recorded, drums are "played" to a click track. THIS is the problem with music today! Might as well be Karaoke! Stay Home, Save Your $ & Listen To The Record. Ridiculous...

Chris, new Ladytron fan here, I have to agree with you. Obviously, live recordings by fans typically suck, but even factoring that in their stage sound is thin. The overall mix is very odd, backing singers would really help this group and the energy level here is suitable for sessions work, not stage presence....and yeah hire a fucking bass player!

Actually everything here is played live. But since you said "today", back in mid 80's there was indeed a band that had almost 50% of on-stage thing pre-recorded on Revox, That band is Cocteau Twins.
