i'm so sorry. in (y dot) i think you must put positive there. because the derrivative from cos is (-sin) then before you put negative in y. so in y dot the negative can be replaced.

also in that term the theta_2 inside the sin doesn't have a dot. You missed that one @Rahmawati Yusri ;)

Why is the x coordinate equal to the length x Sin (theta) and not Cos(theta)?

Because the pendulum hangs in the negative y direction of the x-y plane. Length of pendulum = L (Hypotenuse) X component of pendulum (Opposite). sin(theta) = X/L

Because they do not rotate. They are fixed to the lengths
