Lahore Airport Arrival, Immigration & Customs (in Urdu)

Detailed video of International Arrival at Lahore airport in winter 2023, Passport control, Immigration, Baggage claim, and customs. The same process applies to flights that arrive at Faisalabad, Sialkot, Multan, Peshawar, Karachi, Islamabad, airports.
My flight arrived in Lahore at around 5 AM local time and the airport was not busy, and customs staff was free and searched bags of a few passengers. My bags were not opened by customs and I was out of the airport in about an hour after landing.
COVID VACCINATION CHECK
No one checked for covid-19 vaccination at check-in for the flight and no one checked after arrival in Lahore. I disembarked from the flight and went straight to Passport control.
CUSTOMS,
Compared to Lahore, Karachi airport immigration was also fast, luggage also arrived quickly, however, I did not see any passenger's luggage opened by the customs staff.

I like the details on your video however you may be the only one who made video for immigration process so curious did you had connection at the airport and why no one stopped you

Thank you, I am glad you liked the video. I made it in Urdu language to provide a general description of arrival and departure in public spaces (not behind the scenes) so travelers understand air-travel and the steps/process involved for having a smooth journey when flying out of Pakistan or coming back - especially when their older parents, wife, children, or relatives are traveling who may not understand English description and signage. Hopefully people and their families would benefit from this and other videos I have on airport travels and processes - all in Urdu language and with sub-titles in case needed.

To my knowledge, the official fee of a 'porter' (luggage cart attendant) is Rs.400 per cart. When I arrive from USA the porter sees that from luggage tag and usually ask for $20 (= Rs.5000) and they keep asking for it all the way until I get to your family/friend vehicle in the parking lot. My suggestion is: if you do not have many gifts or items to declare then just pay Rs.1000 in the end and porters are happy with it. If you have bunch of gifts, are traveling with family/kids, have many suitcases, and don't want to be hassled by customs - tell porter if he can get you out without checking and hassle and in turn you will give him good money, and $20 per cart works well to not be hassled after a long trip. Has worked for many people I know. But this is just a suggestion, not requirement.

سر کینیڈا میں visit visa پر امیگریشن کرواتے وقت اگر انگلش نہ آتی ہو تو اردو میں بات کر سکتے ہیں متبادل لوگ ہوتے ہیں ان کے پاس۔۔

ہاں آپ اردو میں بات کر سکتے ہیں۔ لیکن امیگریشن آفیسر کو شروع میں بتائیں کہ آپ انگریزی نہیں بول سکتے اس لیے وہ ایک مترجم کا بندوبست کر سکتے ہیں۔

IN ENGLISH: yes, you can speak in Urdu. But tell the immigration officer in the start that you can't speak English so they can arrange for a translator.

Sometimes govt changes policies or some incident happened at airport and they have more stick checking.

IN ENGLISH: Only Allah knows the future. Based on the knowledge of my travels to Pakistan, I would say there should be no issue in bringing PS5 console in carry-on bag. Be sure your friend is not carrying the PS5 box in his bare-hands, by this i mean: PS5 should not be *visible* to everyone. when PS5 is inside a carry-on bag, only the customs scan machine will see it. Any gaming console is basically a high performance computer dedicated to gaming. No issue with bringing it as long as it is a gift, not for sale. Anything for sale is a business and requires tax and custom duty. I have brought several computers, laptops and phones as gifts. No custom duty was applied on any of them.

Pakistan and most countries allow passengers to carry less than USD $10,000 cash with you. If you need money for expense in Pakistan, open Roshan Digital Account in dual currency USD (or other foreign currency) & Pak Rupee which is super convenient. Put funds in foreign currency and exchange the amounts in your own bank between accounts as you need Rupees. The unused foreign currency stays in foreign currency.
