I own a Buell (Harley) and a Yamaha 700 but don't like either one to be stupid loud, unlike most other bikers. Harley's are already loud enough/too loud, then people mod em to make em even louder. Which I think is mostly for desperate attention, not just for "loud pipes save lives" attention from other drivers (they can already hear them) but more for, "Hey everyone look at me and my Harley, I'm so cool" attention....Since they feel that getting a Harley is the most important thing they could ever do with their life.

I make tuned exhaust silencers out of stainless steel mixed drink bar drink shakers or drink holders. People scrap them all day long. Drill a 7/8 hole in the bottom, strategically drill holes in 3/4" pipe with 1/2" pipe sleeved inside, just over half way. Remove the 1/2" pipe and close the end that will be reinserted, so the exhaust has to leave the 3/40 and flow into the exhaust chamber and back through the 3/4 and 1/2 to. Exit the chamber and pipes. This works great Everytime I do it, it creates that little bit of restriction of exhaust necessary for best two stroke performance and it cuts the noise immensely.

I made a muffler for my F2 using the smallest Briggs & Stratton 2 inch three-quarter inch screw in muffler at Lowe’s it was six dollars..!!!! The end of the F2 pipe is cut at a 1” slant, I simply took a cut off tool and just cut off the slant...!!! I took the muffler and drilled a hole through both sides of the threads, then I measured the depth from the edge of the muffler to the hole...! I Then measured from the end of my F2 pipe the same distance the holes were in my Small Briggs & Stratton Muffler ... The opening on the F2 pipe is slightly larger than the threads of the small Briggs & Stratton 2 inch muffler... , but this is not a big deal the muffler fits snuggly against the end of my F2 pipe where I cut it...! I ran a bolt with a lock washer and lock nut through the holes of the pipe the muffler and tightened it down it works perfect...! It does not affect the performance of the top and speed of the F2 pipe at all ...! The Small Briggs & Stratton muffler simply make my bike where I can ride it without that annoying two stroke popping...! Normally this pipe is around 103 or 104 DB...! Now I can ride it anywhere without anybody complaining...! Six dollars, Four holes, and less than an inch cut off of your F2 high-performance pipe....! It only makes the pipe about an inch and a half longer.... You can see this Briggs & Stratton muffler upgrade , on my channel ( the Jeff Galey channel ) there is a video of it running ...! have a great day....🙏 Professor Jeff Galey, 🎵🎻🎶🎸🎵🎹🎼🎤🎻🎶🎓

It would be cool to see a comparison on your bike between the two,see which is quieter and if it sounds better or worse. how do you get your bike to run and idle so well with the new exhaust? I just put an f2 thruster on my bike and it barely idles, revs take a while to come down, and it actually lost 3 mph that my stock muffler gave me. With the f2 the top speed is about 31 with the 32 tooth sprocket, with the stlandered muffler I got up to 35. I heard that making the c clip in the carb richer can help with the engine running better, do I need to rejet the speed nt carb? If so, should I get a specific jet number? Do I go for a larger jet or smaller jet?
@LAHover3 жыл бұрын
The only thing I can think of is that by increasing the air flow you leaned out the motor with the new exhaust. But without hearing the bike I can't help much... Try a fatter jet and/or lowering the clip.

@PaulDoodes3 жыл бұрын
Opinions vary. Consensus is building that just 1:40 from the start is ideal. Remember, more oil means less fuel which means leaner/ hotter. I wouldn't go less than 1:32 of decent JASCO approved 2T oil.
@artofdisguy34013 жыл бұрын
Anywhere between 32:1 - 40:1 for final mix ratio, all the kits I have built the instructions call for 16:1 for 2 tanks break in and 25:1 after, I find both to oil rich I go 20:1 for 2tanks and then 36:1 till it blows
