Hello Cousin Eric! It's many years since we last met so you probably won't remember me. I'm Mary, your Aunty Peggy's eldest daughter, who was your dear Dad's eldest sister. I think it was when your parents were living in Grizedale that we last met, or on one of the two occasions we stayed with Sheila at Blea Tarn. I've been watching your progress over the last few years and been very impressed with your determination to promote the Herdwick every which way you can. It would be so lovely to come up to the Lakes at least one more time before I die, so I'm praying this awful pandemic will have petered out before then. Would you know which farm our Grandfather Edwin leased from Beatrix Potter? I'm guessing it was probably Lawson Park, prior to your Dad taking over when Granddad died prematurely.
