If you have tokyo wide pass (not the jr pass) you can have direct train via fuji excursion from shinjuku to kawaguchiko no transfer na sa Otsuki rekta na po yun. If you failed to secure a reservation then you need to alight at Otsuki then transfer ka sa fujikyu line to kawaguchiko. Need mo lang talaga mag pa reserve like weeks before kung gusto mo maaga na train

buti na lang nag train kayo pabalik kasi it takes longer by bus due to traffic in tokyo. sana nag avail kyo ng package sa kawaguchiko station (red line bus+ropeway+boat) for 2500yen if my memory serves me right. anyway ingat po. God Bless
