bad defense, bad shot selection near the end of the season (pump fake driving the basket on a wide open 3), very rarely makes clutch shots ill pass 😂

Would it be nice sure, but the Lakers "Need" a 2 Guard that can drop the 3 ball and defend. This is why the Lakers need a Clay or Paul George for an upgrade over Reeves. A center to move AD to PF and a primary ball handler that can defend like a Murray would be great.

Not really. If Lebron is willing take a pay cut then I believe Klay will take one. Klay isn’t getting any crazy offers. They will sign and trade for a impact player

Definitely, the Lakers and Lebron are hated by a lot of teams and GM’s. When the Lakers expressed interest in Caruso the Bulls said they weren’t going to trade him to any team then he gets traded for Josh Giddy. How Ty Lue and Kidd used the Lakers to get higher paid extensions. Every team asking for all the Lakers draft picks for average role players. There’s a reason they’ve been forced to sign a bunch of minimum guys that are bouncing around the league.

Yes. I would focus on one big trade to get a good center that can backup AD most nights AND start other nights next to him as needed. The other focus would be on signing KCP and Klay. I think they need both. KCP would start and Klay would be the 6th man.

@@matthewford3778 Rob has had 3 times that he made great moves. That is better than most GMs. People keep acting like the NBA is filled with GMs that make great decisions. Did Sacramento make the right decision in trading Haliburton? The Spurs are supposedly the best run organization in the league yet they haven’t made the playoffs since Duncan retired. Sometimes we are holding the Lakers to an unfair standard. Boston just won their first championship since 2008! Think about that. It’s been 16 years. Plus, this makes 2 championships since 1986! That’s 2 championships in 33 years! That’s horrible. Yet people were calling Danny Ainge the best GM in the NBA before he left. I could go on.

Klay would be nice for a MLE. But what about defensively? A lineup of DLo, Austin, Klay, Bron, AD would have a lot of spacing but not great defensively. Unless Klay is willing to come off the bench and have Vando start.

Klay has good stats with some bad games. However his stats are so high the bad games don't matter. What matters is he can't jump anymore and his defense isn't what he used to be. It will be interesting to see if he suddenly gets better due to being on a fresh team. Would be interesting on the Lakers.

You get him off the bench and it’s a great deal. Think about him playing 6 minutes at a time providing instant baskets off the bench. The Lakers had wide open shots almost every night. They just didn’t shoot enough 3s.

Klay doesn’t play great defense anymore. It would be bad for him in Dallas. Hardaway just got let go because Kidd said he wasn’t playable due to his defense. Klay in no better right now. However having him come off the bench with the Lakers would work.

Trade away rui, gabe, wood, Giles and JHS. That frees up 5 roster spots. Listen up. Its simple. Grab Dwight for vet minimum and grab jonas as well. Pursue klay and derozan as well. Also javale is a lowkey steal rn as well.
