Today’s word of the day is ‘family matters’ as in family as in the Winslow family as in the Lakers family as in the James family. The Lakers introduced Bronny James with JJ Redick and Rob Plink. Just some unreal quotes. The James family isn’t the only Laker family in the news. Klay Thompson’s dad was not happy with him. Mychal Thompson wanted his son to be a Laker. Tim Anderson was DFA’d by the Marlins. The Marlins continue to pay players to not be there. NPPOD. Review: Furiousa. Let me explain what’s happening with the Detroit Tigers broadcaster Craig Monroe. Thank you David for being one of the few in the media to just tell it how it is with the Lakers and LeBron. So tired of all these talking heads peeing on all our legs and calling it rain showers.

Hi David (& Coca and Sara). Thanks for the shout-out in regards to the Craig Monroe story. Pleasantly surprised and greatly appreciated! I've been a loyal subscriber to NPDS for years now and I usually watch/listen every day there is a new upload to assist in getting the NPDS view numbers up. Anytime I come across a unique, interesting or surprising sporting news story, I'll continue to bring it David's attention. David continuously provides a niche and superb analysis on a myriad of topics that very few, if any, people in the sports media industry can match so that any average Joe can actually understand what is really going on. As well, unlike most people in the sports media industry, David always maintains very open lines of communication and is easy to message. It's too bad there aren't more people like him. Keep up the outstanding work David & Co.!

The Lakers simply are a more valuable/ relevant franchise with the LeBron James Family under contract. Period! David you want them to tell the truth, when in the past you’ve publicly admitted deceiving fans, players, other teams GM’s, city’s about what was really happening behind closed doors in order to get things done. Now you want their narrative to be truthful? It’s their narrative, however your truth would have been so much more exciting for the sport & Lakers. I agree with you and your thoughts on the Thompson’s. But it’s Dad’s truth on Clay’s decision sounds like it got a little‘PERSONAL’. I’m a fan on west coast listening at 5am🤷🏽‍♂️

They did their job, keeping a HOFer in a LA uniform for 3 more years, him taking less money to sign other players, it will be interesting to watch. We also need JJ to hire Tim Legler to craft the X’s & O’s.
