I saw Lakeside, Brick, Confunksun, Slave and others in Houston at the Sam Houston Race Park, on Sept. 24, and I mean to tell ya, these brothers, ESPECIALLY Lakeside and Brick can still throw down. Long live funk!

This is music made when music was real. It's so cool to see these guys get out there and funk rock with their real talent and not mouth-off pre recorded lyrics. Great job guys and hope you are doing this in another 25 years from now.....

This is CLASSIC funk, at it's best. Man do i miss, hearing this stuff on the radio, compared to the crap they put on today. This is TRUE music folks, that can rival with any singles artist or any band, out there today, no question about it......!!!

I have the saddest story anybody heard. Lakeside was playing in Sacramento, CA where I used to live about 4 years ago. My boss was a double drag fool and wouldn't let me leave work early to see one of my favorite bands of all time. I quit the job the next week. Now I'm living in the cold true north called Vancouver, Canada where there's no funk to be found. One day I will put on a Funk Fest 'cuz these snowflakes need some funk in their soul. Lakeside will headline. That's a promise.
