Lakken's Story - Marshfield Children's Hospital

In fourth grade, Lakken Burzynski’s teachers noticed big changes in her writing and school work. After multiple tests and scans, doctors at Marshfield Children’s found a medulloblastoma - a cancerous brain tumor at the base of her skull. Lakken spent more than a year in and out of Marshfield Children’s Hospital undergoing surgery and chemotherapy.

What an inspirational, strong young lady she is despite everything she's been through. I can't imagine what she must have gone through so young, but having struggled seeing my mum go through cancer, Lakken's attitude through it all without a single complaint is truly extraordinary ❤

i’m so so sorry about your mom.. i wish sicknesses never ever even existed i swear. it breaks my heart so so much hearing/seeing people be in/go thru pain i swear.. nobody deserves it at all. my love and prayers and hugs are going out to you❤ you’re so strong and amazing and never forget that god/jesus are so beyond amazing and they have everyone thru everything always and forever 🙏🏻💪🏻✝️❤️

This young lady, is truly a messenger of God. With a sweet spirit, you don't see in most children. I hope that she continually gets stronger. She's an example of what the Lord can do through a child.🐝

The teen from Phu Tho province in Vietnam was immediately taken to the Ha Hoa District Medical Center, where she received treatment and recovered. She was allowed by healthcare workers to take her second dose on January 17 despite her mother’s warnings about the side effects she experienced with her previous dose.

What a lovely young woman and family. Our 14 year old daughter had two brain surgeries this year and is doing well. Healthcare providers are amazing people.

@Keagan Merritt Dont worry, i dont mind people asking since its not really bothering my life anymore, but my diagnosis is langerhans cell histiocytosis :)
