Lamar’s the MVP so he must get the blame for the loss. But you could tell that they let Mahomes scare them. The Ravens, who were the number one rushing offense this year, panicked and changed to a passing offense the minute Mahomes scored. It was unrecognizable. The RB’s barely touched the ball.

Lamar is overrated and shouldn't be the MVP, Ravens won 2 SBs with Joe Flacco and Trent Dilfer with a lesser offense. Steve McNair won just as many games in 2006 with even less of a support cast and lost to Manning and the Colts, Lamar is a RB that has a decent arm and absolutely over paid playoff bust.

@@theodoremason3522 I don't want to defend Lamar because it was a definite choke job, but at least he did it in the Conference Championship against a top 3 defensive team, which is also the defending Superbowl Champs. Dak choked against the 7th seed (first 2nd seed to lose to the 7th seed) in the Wild Card Round with a defense that allowed bad QBs to have good games in the reg. season. Lamar made several mental mistakes I noted leading up to this game. 1. Saying he is not happy about playing Mahomes, whether it was a joke or not this is not something you show out loud. 2. He said he was thinking about the Superbowl game. 3. He wanted to prove to everyone he is a pocket passer instead of using his unique abilities to use his legs. 4. His sideline frustrations and antics. I wanted Ravens to win it all but man! Did they wet the bed on offensive. Their defense gave them so many chances.

Never seen a kicker crowd the space of the opposing team trying to warm up . NEVER. Then when you add in all the other infractions/penalties, It looks very much calculated or choreographed and coordinated and spaced out throughout the game.... probably initiated by their coach, That is the only way you could get so many players to agree to it. The one where the defensive guy jumped off side? so egregious that he bowled Smith over? Completely preplanned. They thought they could get the chiefs off their game by intimidation. You can not convince me it wasn't all preplanned.... There can't be that much immaturity on one team.

While people were sick of KC, their offensive output was down and there was no flashy offense to behold, while people were ready to say they're done because the offensive firepower wasn't what it use to be....people tuned out. They quit watching. "KC won't be there - I don't need to do my homework. I can ignore their games. I don't need to watch." And that's exactly why no one on TV seemed to understand just how good this defense was. It's why no one noticed when Sneed shut down 7 of the top 10 WR's this year. It's why no one noticed that the Chiefs D shut down 3 of the top 4 offenses this year. KC fans knew. They saw. They were ready. I hope Ravens like to eat crow...

Flowers is to blame Lamar made a huge downfield pass and hit flowers for a TD and the guy fumbled it The Ravens were at home and Flowers not only gave away the game he gave away all of the momentum that Baltimore gained from that drive. Ravens needed that momentum Ravens would have tied the game 17-17 Instead the turnover happened and put Lamar in such a position that he had to score twice in 5 minutes and the defense had to allow no points if they wanted to win. Which led to the bad interception because lamar was trying to force a throw that wasn’t there to save time

Ravens came in with a just horrid game plan offensively. Ravens D could not get a stop to get off the field in the first half either. This should prove once and for all, Lamar cannot drop back and pass. He cannot do it. If you cannot run the ball and let him feast on the play action then they can’t win, period.

Its not all on Lamar... but a lot of it is. I really hoped he would have had a better game, but in pressure situations his decision-making is bad. Its just true. But it is also true that the Ravens fell apart across the board. A bit of blame goes for everyone.

Well said Coach Mangini, ego was their weakness. This is a very difficult lesson to learn when they are rich and ego stroked by those around them. I said it before the finals started. Ravens ceiling is the highest and they might be too busy gloating and celebrating before they have achieved anything. Next thing they know... they lost and they won't know why. Dallas has a similar weakness. Both teams best games are amazing and largely unbeatable. Both teams can't get out of their own way, disrespecting their opponents by not having the right attitude and humility in the moments it is needed most. "We must focus at our best and execute at our best to win because our opponent will" is theory only for them. Chiefs demonstrate this concept every finals campaign even when they don't win.

You can't fake poor performance like Lamar Jackson turned in against the Chiefs. Lamar looked like Ned in a first-grade reader and he had that deer in the headlights look the entire game both on and off the field. Lamar was truly out of his league in that big game for all the marbles.

I bet if that Fox Sports lady had showed that stat comparison of Lamar to Dak, instead of saying that stupid line about how Lamar wasn't "quarterback-y enough", headlines would've looked a lot different, especially after that lackluster performance from Jakson.

How dare you pick the box stat on passing attempts. 12 pass attempts into the 3rd quarter & Munken was to be the difference. Mahomes had 24 attempts with the ball after the half. Playing from behind THEN YOU WANT TO PASS! I'm shutting down the logic!! It's insane

I have to admit, I turned the game off almost immediately after the start when the Ravens went 3 and out and the Chiefs scored easily on the next possession, and then they showed Taylor Swift jumping up and down like lunatic. I knew the game was over then and there. I didn't want to see any more of that.

@lakeozarkrei3767 Nothing against Swift. I could just see from the beginning that the Ravens had no heart, and they were going to let the Chiefs walk all over them. The lunatic reference was more to describe her as overly enthusiastic which is perfectly fine. It wasn't meant as a slight.

Offense could do nothing.. they left 14 points on the field without ever running it, it’s 100% on the coaches and coaching. It’s sad because they won’t have the staff or the talent next year. Ravens wasted the best opportunity they had in 10 years

I feel so bad for Ravens D. They stopped the Chiefs after an int, after a fumbled touchback, AND they took Cheifs out of FG range after Lamars fumble. The Ravens O gameplan FAILED, FAILED, and FAILED again. All the while the opportunity was never taken away. One offensive score and the game is even. Six runs and youre the number one run offense?! WTF!!!

Brock Purdy is 4-1 (if you count the game he got injured on the first series), with 2 come back wins, and has his team in the SB. Brock has as many wins as Dak and Lamar combined and it is only his 2nd year. Winners win games that matter most.
