The Countach started it all! it's the seminal Supercar and should be honored as an automotive icon. I don't care if it's not the fastest or best handling. It looks utterly COOL!

I saw one in person only once. the Countach came out in 1974 for the 1st time. and with a 4.5 Liter V12 generating 450BHP this was the supercar you could get on a budget. now they're still worth over $100,000

As a kid I had a huge poster of a white Countach on my bedroom wall. It was like something from outer space. Still looks as good today as it did then.

Yes, the registrations match. Looks like Harry lent his Countach out for the filming. If anything Harry does a better job of presenting what living with a Countach is like. Why does May expect an exclusive, hand built, limited production, classic super car to be practical? It wasn't intended to be.

Yeah I used to own that Countach - sold it to a chap called Paul who must have passed it on to Harry. My biggest regret was selling it for £42K - it's now worth almost £300K!

When has that EVER happened with any car ever? Thats the whole point. Cars have their run (the countach had its run for 16 years!) and then they invent a new model to take over. Thats like saying they will bring back the porsche 928 or the 300zx.

***** 928 is coming. The 911 has been starting to look like 928 since 996 iteration. The last true 911 was the 993. All subsequent generations was basically 928 with engine in the back. Since engine in the front is "better" than in the back, the revival of the 928 is very likely to happen. All they need to do is to make the Panamera 2-door. That's all.

It is by far one of the most iconic supercars made back in the days. I love the looks of it, I would love to drive it. And if I were a rich guy, I would probably own one. But that don't mean it would be the most comfortable car to drive. Could perhaps come to same conclusion as James here about what makes it terrible. But it is a piece of history. Legendary. That alone, would make up for many downsides to something.

+Hammern28 So much this. I own a 1959 Chevrolet Impala and a 1968 Chevrolet Corvette, sometimes you just want a car because it is so beautiful, even if it is impractical or hard to drive. If I had the money, I'd own a Countach in a heartbeat!

The Countach - the F104 Starfighter of the car world in so many ways. It worked, but there were so many issues, it almost didn't work . . . . . but it looked good.

I’m pretty sure he picks this car up from south farm water Eaton near castle Eaton it certainly looks that way as I used to play around the farm when I was young. Mr Laing used to own south farm mr Laing was heir to the mcvities biscuit company his son is Jamie Laing is now on tv quiet a lot. I have so many fond memories of this place.

Beautiful Lamborghini. That and the early '90s Diablo. Lamborghini ended itself when Germans took over, at least aesthetically, it's gone.

Its the changing of an auto makers habits. The mustang used to be a beautiful car, just look at a 67 fastback, and look at today where they put a 2.0 litre 4 cyllinder eco boost. Its very sad.

to back up this beast you had essentially no rear visiblity. Tiny mirror that looked through a slit and then the wing was in the way so you literally sat on the door sill hanging out of the car with a foot tippy toe on the brakes. Still car pron regardless

It wasnt, one was used as a jgtc car back then and it performed badly. For a countach it was rather well, but as a racecar no. The diablo was a far more capable track car

In white and black... eh. I considered those. But the Countach white.. it doesn't go well with all the little details on the car, such as the lights, wheels, etc. The same goes for the black. White makes the car looks cheap, black makes it look off. IMO. Really, even red and yellow don't suit the design that much better than white or black.
