This is a very underrated channel. I saw this on my recommended yesterday and was like hmmm sounds interesting... Do I like Lancey so much that I'd watch this? Nah.. probably not. Playboi Carti’s crew/record label is called Opium. Includes Destroy Lonely and Ken Carson. Lancey Foux isn’t part of Opium exactly but he is very very close with them and everyone says he’s like the UK version of an Opium rapper

Good video, very informative. n observation: Lancey is strongly inspired by Carti - I believe you downplayed this point quite a bit. It’s obvious in his adlibs, flow, and even instrumental choice. The idea that “Opium and lancey foux have arrived at a similar sound completely independent from one another because lancey is from the UK and Opium artists are from the US” is nonsense. If you have internet access you can catch on to a wave that’s hot in another country/internationally. I think Lancey should dig more into his uniqueness and develop his voice and story further…. and not find himself being identified as the UK carti replica which he is currently something he is running the risk of doing.
