Finally land battles, showing my support for this type of format. Love to see some quick diverse action again. Capture points battle felt super slow and infantry spam heavy. This feels again like a good old WH2 times but without rule problems.

This is what I thought Domination mode was going to be like when CA first announced it. Glad to see it made it to the big times. I'd love to see a Faction War tourney using this.

Dwarfs won the tournament! I just used my long, white beard to wipe a tear from the corner of my eye. Another grudge erased from the Great Book of Grudges! I love the format that prevents kiting and corner camping in land battle. Well done Turin.

I really enjoy High elves, but i also would get why people could hate them. Their stuck up, snooty and feel superior to everyone. I just love badass knights like dragon princes..maybe the most awesome. Also dragons and riding dragons is just cool. I might like Wood elves bit more..mostly for Durthu and all the wood spirit units. Also sneaky ambushes and hit and run tactics

Late to the party for this one, but this was an epic tourney. Gotrek coming in with strong people's champ energy, and im loving the mod format. I somehow missed it when you hosted before, but you just dont get these kind of builds in dom. And just an idea 💡 maybe a new legendary lords tournament with this same format. That was such an epic series on the channel

the kislev vs vampire count made me very happy. Used to hate the counts, now i hate kislev couldn't be happier than to see them lose. Also what in the hell was the kislev player thinking

Land battles are what interest me. Dom was cool at the beginning but it definitely can drag on for too long and it became stale for me. This mod is great

Holy crap if you told me this tournament was going to end with dwarves vs vampire counts I would have guessed it would be a melee grind with a little bit of cavalry. That game was great

Instead of victory tickets, I think it would be interesting to have three victory points like in domination, except the player wins when they capture all three points, either immediately or after a short delay. That way the players are really forced to fight.

Seeing how those dwarf armies were winning really makes me question why people like land battle, and this is the version of the format with LESS bullshit cheese because of the capture point.

Boxes do not make for the most engaging viewing. Always a shame to see players win with it.

It’s so much more than that + the boxes were actually not great but the level of the players was not great, better players destroy those’d formations + for the final it was well guessed from the dawn player, the build he took gets hard countered by graveguards but works well against what the vc player took. Have a look at human boy yes yes land battle tourney livestreams to have an idea of why LB is now mainly played (it’s not the LB we had in TWW2 unfortunately there are many issues but apparently it’s not enough for dom to become the competitive format

The dwarf armies won because the opponents misplayed pretty hard. Both games were decided by a single critical unit getting obliterated in spite of the entire army needing that unit in order to function. The cheese isn’t what won, it was the dwarf player picking the low-hanging fruit. If anything, those were two of the most exciting games of Total War I’ve ever watched. That Final Transmutation was crushing the dwarfen box, the crypt horrors and vargheists were crashing through the ranged units, and in spite of that the dwarves still managed to snatch victory from pretty dire situations. I wouldn’t want to play like that, but it was still cool to watch

Warhammer fantasy is the only setting where I like the high elves in it. They have the coolest dragons so that does a lot of heavy lifting tbh. Wood elves are trash tho and I hate their playstyle in this game.
