Land Cruiser 100 Series on 35 inch tyres - my first thoughts

I've managed to fit the 35 inch BF Goodrich tyres to my hydraulic-suspension Landcruiser. Lots of cutting required, and I'll need some more to get it right. Here are my first thoughts.

Looks very smart, just had to remove my AHC on Pedders now with stock 16s with Discoverer AT3 sports just fitted. Maybe next time i'll look at 35's as this does fit the arch very nicely

It drives a lot worse on 35s though, and rubs if you don't cut and body lift. Braking and steering are pretty terrible now 😂

Yes I put the front up by around an inch (any more was making pressures too high), and the rear maxed to the top of the bracket. There's a quick video here on my channel.

35's look great. What width did you go with? Are those headlight washers stock? They don't seem to have been an option over here.

These are 35 x 12.5 inch. The headlight washers come with all the UK models, they just use a little circlip to fasten on the inside of the bumper. Whereabouts are you?

Canada but we didn't get the 100 series they're all imported from the US.

Yeah there was the LX 470. It didn't have the headlight washers either or at least I've never seen them.

What’s the width and sidewall size on those? They look great, I just added 275/70/18 KO2s which are 33.2” in diameter on my LX

They're marked as 35x12.5R18 but the actual diameter comes out at 34. 7 according to my measuring tape.

I will likely do the same when it comes time to replace these. How long did you stay on 35s?

@@landcruiserscotland Something like two years, if you don't really need that 35 for what you do every day, it is unnecessary. And the chance that you will break something is greater...

All I do is go to the shops and do road trips. I definitely don't need them :)
