You make this look easy. I broke mine after the 5th attempt at installation. It was super tight and popped out on one side once it was seated.

Yes, what rubber did you use? I tend to find the genuine land rover rubber goes on the glass easier but is very tight when in the frame making it harder to fit, the britpart rubber is harder to get on the glass but easier to fit into the frame.

@@AUTOGLAZ1ER I used the ProLine rubber which is actually a better product than original. I finally took it to a local installer and they installed it and sealed the inside with urethane sealer. It looks great and was worth the $200 to have a professional do the work.

@jtclements ok, glad you got it fitted, but a bit worrying if it has been sealed with urethane, glass fitted with rubber trim should only be sealed with an oil based compound that stays pliable(like putty) urethane is used on modern bonded type windows where the glass is bonded directly onto the vehicles Pinch weld aperture and is hard when dry.

Reasonable explanation but the lighting and use of head cam make it hard to see the detail. It would also be great to include the removal of the old window in the video. I am guessing that can be hard to do with perished rubber?

Hi, I'm pretty new to KZfaq and trying to improve with every video. the customer had already removed the old windscreen on this job, if the rubber is being replaced i just cut the rubber away and carefully lift the windscreen out.

Which rubber do you use? I bought a britpart one, and my windscreen fitter said it was the wrong profile, and could not be used.

Hi, I use britpart as in my opinion they are the best quality, so you maybe got a faulty one or it's not britpart or your fitter is incorrect.

so the technicue is either side first...., then the bottom strip, lastly the top strip ???

@@AUTOGLAZ1ER many say bottom seal, but as you have noted it makes it almost impossible to get the top lip in once sides and base fitted
