My Dad, my hero…overcome so much adversity in his life with so much charisma, pride and endurance. Raised a family of 6 kids where a lot of people would have given up and given in to a life of depression and misery. The values and determination he instilled in us kids is an invaluable education. A truly remarkable man. Very intelligent and well spoken. This was 40 years ago! I am so grateful for this publication. Just to hear that voice, for me (us), I speak for the entire family, is just incredibly amazing. I am just now, after 3+ years able to watch this without bawling my eyes out. An inspiring story that I would encourage anyone to watch. This man lost his mother when he was 5 years old; lost his arm while WORKING at 9 years old but continued with his life to raise a family of 6 children and have a very successful career in the fishing industry. I truly believe there is a lesson for everyone in his story. My Dad, the man, the one-armed fisherman, the legend.
