Sir, the portion you explain from 2:26 up till 'Running Water' is missing from my 2019 edition of the book. Can you tell me which edition of the book are you teaching from?

Kindly answer this question, after searching from hundreds of sources i m asking this question: u just said in ur video that an active flood plain is the river bed itself ( which is also written in the ncert,pg 62) and the inactive flood plains are ones which are on the banks (meaning, which are on the sides of river bed and which could extend further as per the energy of the river flow). Now my question is why the *river bed* itself is considered the floodplain. ???? Shouldn't it be like ...that an active flood plain is one when the river keeps on flooding its banks.. and an inactive flood plain is ome when the river rarely (sometimes only) flooding its banks. Kindly answer pls. Thanx

This channel is very good from the point of view of a 'first-contact'. If u are not familiar with the topics in NCERT or other detailed study materials, then this explanation is perfect for forming a basic idea about the topics and helps u form a clear picture in Ur mind regarding certain phenomenon (kudos to those diagrammatic representations!). After getting this 'first-contact', it becomes easier going through our own study material n grasping the detailed concepts in them. Thanks for Ur efforts Sengupta Sir.

In the book it is written that rivers build the point bars on the convex side while the bank on the concave side erodes rapidly ...but the picture @23:37 depicts a diff case ( kindly clarify please)
