This was somewhat of a special flight for me. Besides the cutie in seat 3C who just also happened to be seated next to me on my SEA-DEN leg, I was finally on approach to Omaha. After two previous attempts that were scuttled (one involving the death of a sibling, the other extreme weather in both Denver and Omaha,) at long last I was arriving at the Big O. We start out above the broken clouds over the western fringes of the city and the Platt River over Cedar Bluffs before passing through the ceiling over Omaha’s western suburbs. We cross the Missouri River with Eppley Airfield coming into view to the north before turning to final over Council Bluffs. We get another view of the Omaha skyline before touching down.
