Hello ALL
Hope everybody is well and having a healthy HAPPY NEW YEAR.
Finally starting to get through all these clips and videos getting the content delivered straight to you followers!
PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT attempt to recover vehicles out of any flood water without any training or knowledge, as can be VERY DANGEROUS and lead to severe consequences.
Sorry filming on this one was not top of my list but I did get some footage to show you all, time was pretty crucial getting this JOB DONE as quickly and swiftly as possible.
Hopefully some NEW KZfaqRS will upload some of their own content soon of their own daily recovery operations ... ;)
Hope you enjoy something a little bit different.
Like & Subscribe.
Thanks

I must say this is one of the best water recovery I’ve seen online to date, Greg clearly knows how’s to operate safely in a very dangerous environment 10 out of 10 in my books

So it cracks me up the people that comment on here are like the ones that comment on Facebook,stupid,so this is Greg's business and he runs it as he sees fit and does the jobs to his best knowhow and ability and for the people to be critical and saying he should do it a different way or I wouldn't have done it that way,shut up and dont watch or comment if you dont like it as Greg says,I dint understand why people have to make out they are better than other people,I watch alot of the truck vlogs and some of the hate comments is unreal,carry on the great work and videos m8 as the young lady said in her comments your smashing it,cheers

Gregg don’t worry about all the armchair “experts” no doubt the same people who have never been involved in recovery, you make the best decisions you can with the info you have, going to look a bit silly tipping up without the gear you need! Personally I’m of the school better to have and not use rather than not have and need!

Nice recovery, surprised the land rover failed, never seen one stay drowned though, they usually fire right back up again after drying it out. Theyre beasts, theyre usually fine without snorkels but he shouldve had one on. If he had a snorkel, hed of been fine, but i bet it fired straight back up a little later 😂

Yeah was quite deep this ford and had a fair running current aswell, would have been quite a daunting situation for the customers sitting in it at the time! Thanks for the watch. GDB

HI, New to channel and first video watched, great work!! and now subscribed.. you may of covered this on previous recoveries but other than the disadvantage??? of having to share the cab, for the drive to site why dont you put the jeep on the Daf thus saving the fuel and miles on the jeep?

Very good decision to go from the back end as you would have been in a load of trouble if you were to of gone in the from front with the wagon as the camber gets quite aggressive. Been through that ford a few times and gone down from the front once in a defender and it was abit twitchy in places i must say and that flood wasnt anything to what it was a couple of years ago when it was a foot above the road, it would have been swept away a good 10 metres before entering the actual river itself.

Never understood why people phone the fire brigade to get time out of situations like this, just get your feet wet and start walking. It going to get shallower the more you walk until you're back on unflooded land. Last time it flooded here, a car got stuck in a foot and a half of water under a bridge and occupants phoned the fire bridge to get them out too... who promptly showed up and made them all get out and walk!

So you have the DAF which unless you are reckless you wouldn't take into a flood and the XJ with a winch and off-road capabilities and you need to recover a vehicle that can't be towed so needs lifting can't see a better combination of recovery vehicles well done the joys of the internet and keyboard experts don't even give them the satisfaction of mentioning them Gregg

Should have winched from the second position first made it hard for your self then you could have backed up and winched again atleast you turned your wheels side ways to increase the grip having said that as long as they are out safely that's all that counts do you charge by the hour or per job
@shropshireladoutdoors743
@shropshireladoutdoors743 2 жыл бұрын
@Lancashirelad we probably would have done it differently but it's not our business at stake and if he does charge by the hour you can see why he took his time sometimes I think people try to make things look more difficult on utube to make themselves look big but not in this case just trying to be safe and as professional as he can I did recovery in the military there are alot of factors to be taken into consideration

That's a 5 course meal of recovering that why put chest waders on if you are not going to go in welly depth!!! You had the waders on why not open the door and put the handbrake off and sit in the landrover as your not going to get wet or swept away it would of been far easier and quicker
