This oil painting of a cabin on the lake at sunrise is my newest landscape. If I could imagine a perfect place to live in the mountains, I think this would be it. I developed the idea for this artwork through many photos I took during my adventures in the wilderness. This is my heaven on earth and I hope that you enjoy this painting process.

This painting is so beautiful and given the perfect name. Perhaps, it was the background music playing while you painted that made sober thoughts about our physical world come to mind. There is so much adversity effecting this Earth that we call home; such as, pollution, climate change, earthquakes, landslides, tsunamis, floods, drought, fires, loss of various species of plant and animal life, war, pandemics etc.... Your paintings are so beautiful. The onlooker is reminded of the need for each of us--individuals and as nations--to cherish our lives and the lives of all lifeforms for each has its purpose and is necessary for our world to flourish. Thank you, Chuck, for dedicating your creative gifts to creating a continuous, living, visual record that awakens a renewed joy in living, inspires each of us to live in the now, to create for ourselves fully emersed ways of being healthy and alive and, in the process, we do not take what is for granted. Living is about truly living, experiencing, learning, and creating memories that will reminds us of our why and the significant others to share what cannot be guaranteed to remain.
