Girl!!!! Your daddy was having a blast with that pressure washer, and it did a great job! I’ve never seen one on a reel and retractable like that, very cool! Your landscaping turned out so pretty, and I wish I’d done the rubber mulch cause I put out 65 bags a year and it gets old having to put down new every year. You could grow a plant up your electric pole, it would camouflage it some. Our pole and phone lines are attached to our house and one day it dawned on me I could paint them our house color…..they are SO much less noticeable now. I’m a little slow sometimes! 😂😂😂

Yes! My dad has clematis vines that are very pretty. I'm thinking of trying one of those on the electric pole. Lots of great ideas here!

The landscaping looks great Stephanie. You could put a trellis up on the pole the electrical box is on and plant something that will grow up the trellis to sort of camouflage the pole and make it looks like you meant to have the pole there.

Hi Stephanie! I love the landscape and the pressure washer!! You're motivating me.😄 For the power pole, I would plant something that grows like a vine; green ivy or Vining flowers. Google what grows best in your area, and you can train it to wrap around the pole as it grows up. That would look so great to hide it! Your new decking is gorgeous too!

I like the idea of putting a trellis up around your utility pole. I wouldn't let the vines grow on the pole, but a trellis might help to keep the vines away from the structure. Just keep in mind that many vines are invasive and they can take over your garden.

Buy cedar fence pickets. Cheap and they will last 10 years. Great power washer. Dad needs a rotating surface cleaner. About the size of you robot vacuum. Works wonders on driveways and patios. The rubber mulch bag should have a disclaimer: Little boys love to throw this. Our local park spread this under swings and slides to cushion the falls. It was all over the grass and everywhere those boys love to throw it. ha ha Flowers and flower bed looks beautiful. Great job. When you buy your lattice purchase enough to build a tall square box around your electric pole and service pipe. Just to draw the eye away. Have a great weekend.

I absolutely love how it turned out!! You and your mom did a fantastic job!! It's so nice to see the relationship you and your mom have. My mom turns 92 next week, and she is in great shape mentally and physically. She has slowed down quite a bit, but when we get together we have so much fun laughing and talking. I try to appreciate every moment with her because I know there may not be much left. Sorry to be so depressing! Your landscaping project turned out really good, thank you for taking us along. We’ve had final shutters on our 1974 house ever since it’s been built, no problem what so ever, they hold up very well, you can even paint them, and they are much lighter weight than wood and do not warp!!! Best wishes!!!

Build a triangle "cover" for the electric pole out of the lattice - you could even staple the weed barrier cloth to the inside to hide the pole(s) then a plant could climb it but you could still access it from the ramp side. Just a thought.

Your back entrance is looking so good. Your Mom is so helpful and a lot of fun. My husband used to say things like that. "Water under the dam" and "Water over the bridge" were two of his classic sayings. LOL Your Dad is making great use of new pressure washer. I always liked to play with the pressure washer too. Isn't it wonderful when everything looks fresh and clean? When I did my yard years ago, I put down landscape fabric and made curves and mulched. I think I will freshen it up and use the products you found. It will look better and is simpler to do. I love hummingbirds. Give your Mom & Dad my regards. I love what you and your Mom did with the landscaping. Your little nest has come such a long way. They have those solar lights you can add to the rails of the decking rails to help see at night.
