World's BEST Fishing Spot... Catch Clean Cook (Florida Keys Bridge Fishing)

We took a trip down south to fish the Florida Keys Bridges and piers. These are some of the best publish fishing spots, as they provide for a variety of species for the land-based angler. We caught snapper, grouper, yellow jacks and also experienced a lot of heartbreak with sharks! The sharks were ruthless and ate so many of our fish!

Channel #3 in February(snapper and snook), Duck key bridge in March(black grouper and tarpon), Niles channel in April (tarpon and permit). Best bridges in the keys.(I've been told they closed Niles bridge to fishing due to safety concerns)

Thank you guys for a great experience. I grew up in Miami and visited the keys many times but mostly camping with family and fishing the everglades in dads boat. My wife and I were at Big Pine in 1999 and did some bridge fishing and reef fishing five miles out. After your video we are ready to come back..............TFS

My son caught a 14lb yellow jack out of Key West. We are back home in Pittsburgh so I think its time to cook it up. Please let me me know Vic if there any other recipes I try. We came down to the Keys twice this year and I am ready to go back. Love it. Love to have you and your wife up here to PA to fish Lake Erie for our prized fish the Walleye. Let me know!- Bill

I would also add Robbie's to the list of must sees while in the Keys. If you do not know, they have a marina and restaurant, but you can feed the Tarpon (which are protected in this area) by hand. I have never seen so many 100lb + fish in one place. If you cannot make it in person I think they have a 24hr live feed camera on their website. Seriously cool

Hey there Landshark! First of all, I want to say thank you for all of your videos. My dad and I truly enjoy them. Secondly, I think your quest to debunk people's misconceptions about "trash fish" is a very noble mission. On that note, I would like to suggest you do a catch, clean, cook episode on ribbonfish. I had never seen one until this evening. I went fishing with my dad on a pier in Stuart and he caught one. There was also another man who caught several ribbonfish and put them in a bucket to take home. When I asked him what he was going to do with them he said he was going to eat them. I am anxious to know if they are any good and/or worth the trouble of cleaning for such a slender fillet.

Great video Victor. Will have to remember early December is the time for yellow jacks. We bleed fish by inserting a finger behind the side fins up towards the gills keeping the finger just under the skin. Works great to bleed them out. Try it and let me know what you think.

Very good! Stepped up the game.. And the results are great! I have to agree with Chad's list! About quality fish I can't disagree, he is right on the money! Now as sport game fish I would have to say: Permit on the top, Cubera/Cobia, Mutton, Black Grouper. And as mention of honor, Catch and release only, Tarpon undoubtedly is on the top three!

You should bring an ice pick with you fishing for dispatching your fish. It kills the fish instantly while leaving the heart still beating so that you can still bleed your fish. Not only is it more humane, but you don't have to worry about the fish going crazy when you bleed it.

Find someone with a flounder boat. The ballyhoo are all over the shallow flats at night. You can net them, IF you come at them from the front. (No way you run them down from behind.) Live ballyhoo are outrageously good bait, but fresh dead are still much better than frozen. It's not much of a chore to net up a few dozen of them. Leave them whole, and bring the hook up from the bottom through the beak. They're like big fish candy.
