This analysis is by far more insightful than, GCN, Velo, and the Official Vuelta hightlights. Lanterne did an awesome job just like Jens Keukeleire & Magnus Cort. Who needs radios when you have knee slapping sign-language 4:45, that trigger was awesome. Mathews was totally caught off guard, Jens lead-out launch was awfully early, but it worked.

Matthews in the breakaway. Headshake over except there aren't that many opportunities left. Sprints for Mezgez he is faster and Matthews is not going for points jersey. The climbers looks below level except for Nieve who had a crash. Zeits and Stannard could go for breakaways aswell.

Not sure what years Trentin was at Orica/Mitchelton/BikeExchange, but the final sprint had Keukeleire , Mezgez, Matthews, Cort and Trentin in the mix. It's like a reunion of the Orica team from a few years ago.

@@LanterneRougeCycling Everybody was doped up to their ears back then, so don't really think they can take away the wins and give it to the next guy, because likely he was also super doped. Read an article at some point where someone tried to find out who would have been the winner in all those years in the 90's and 2000's where the winner was doped, and they had to get to like number 18th on the list to get to someone that had not been caught or had not admitted to use doping - which still doesn't mean that where werent on the juice. Guess you could argue that then those years shouldn't have winners for both GC and stages, but it is a part of the sports history I guess.

What a stage! MCN is at his best form right now!! And Jay Vine? I think he's going to be, and is, an exciting rider. He might have a bit of Alaphilippe's unpredictability in those legs. UAE might as well pace if Trentin felt he had the legs to go. They have to try. Good catch on the thigh slap. I totally missed it. Too busy trying to decide if Bagioli was going to pip MC. Thanks.
