2 жыл бұрынYou all wanted me to try some new things, and a lot of people wanted me to be a waiter, so I went to my favorite Chinese restaurant in the US and worked as a waiter. How do people react when their American waiter speaks to them in “perfect” Chinese?

You gotta use it to keep the memory of it. I made that mistake and now can't read or write my own language(persian but its actually farsi), i can barely speak it.

I remembered that you had eaten at this restaurant in another one of your videos. The lady that owns it was super friendly and so hospitable. That was a great staff that you worked with, and this place seems really popular with the locals...great interaction video this was!

The direct nature of Chinese humor is so endearing, so frank, so wonderful. Thank you for showing this side of a culture we rarely ever see, but should. Don't let a horrible government influence your opinions of a fabulously interesting culture. Many Chinese in western countries have chosen your country whereas we've merely been born here. Big difference.

@@lewdjiggle2011 It wasn't meant as an insult. It was a frank observation. It's not something we would say in western culture but frankness like that is far more common in the culture of China. Spend years with people from China and you will see this a lot. Intention is everything. It's not said to hurt, put down or condemn. And that is what is so refreshing about humor in China. It's very different from ours; refreshingly so.

I’ve worked in restaurants for almost 30 years, love listening to different languages, but this was awesome! The employee meal (or family meal we usually say) is so typical for restaurant staff! And yes, the job is not easy!

Working in the store is a very unique and fantastic concept I hope the restaurant store owners understand how much we appreciate this this is a very good idea and you should do many more of these videos particularly in this restaurant I think the guests are truly amazed and feel welcomed by this this was very clever

Very cool and interesting idea for a video. I suspect most people look down on waiters for a job, but actually being a good waiter, intuitive, perceptive to the clients' wills and needs, is a human skill difficult to attain. The best waiters can look into people and quickly understand where they're from, what's their situation, what they need/want right now and you know what? When a good waiter can do well and go over the top, the client is always grateful - even though I know sometimes they don't give the recognition the waiter deserves. Good job man, I appreciate this cool video and all your work.
