@@ChristopheLandryPhD That is why the word Kompère was familiar to me, they used( or something similar) that word . There are a litany of stories of Compé Anansi and how he tricked Tiger or others. It was changed to Aunt Nancy or Briar Rabbit by slaves to actually hide who it was.

@@mrsoready No Bouki and Lapin are found found in Senegal and Mali areas. Bouki is a Wolof word for hyena

@@herewegoagin4667 Thanks for that...funny thing is I have an Uncle who has the nickname Bouki and I only knew him by that for years, b4 I knew his real name. Now I wonder who named him!
