Years of Refusal is my favorite Moz solo album. I don't any of his solo work comes close to The Smiths, but for what it is, It's fantastic!!

@@2wheels6strings perhaps a few songs like Seasick yet still docked, my love life, etc., but I find that some of the really early Smiths lyrics are just unbeatable. Songs like The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, Pretty Girls Make Graves and Miserable Lie may not be as musically interesting as some Morrissey songs, but lyrically they mean a lot more (to me, anyway).

@criminally_vulgar I agree with op. This has to be his best work, best album. All the tracks in this album are all great. It's not the smith's but this is the best of Moz I always come back listening to this entire album

Je le trouve à 50 and en super forme, moins "prétencieux", qu'il semblait sur scène, il avait de quoi, il est beau, chante superbement, à une présence sur scène et cet accent Irlandais ... il est craquant, il a le mérite de se donner à fond, j'aime, fan incondietionnelle

I totally agree. He has never sounded so good. and i always skip" Mama" too. I liked ringleaders but there was too much filler but YOR is solid gold.
