Currently I have Samsung 4+2Gb, DDR3, 1333MHz, 1.5V ( it operates upto 95°C temperature). Now I found on internet for upgrade 8+8Gb, DDR3, 1333Mhz, 1.2V±0.06V, 0°C to 85°C, from Simmtronics. And found 1. Power Supply VDD and VDDQ = 1.2V±0.06V 2. “DRAM activation power supply = VPP= 2.5V (+0.25V / -0.125V)” My questions 1. Is this best option? 2. I have rog strix g531 gt which supports 32gb of ram and has 2 slot. In 1 slot 8 is pre-installed and another one is blank. Is it advisable to install 16 gb in another slot or shall i go with 8 gb ram?. And how to make it 32 gb? Upgradaboe to 32 gb and has 8 gb in one slot does that means both the slot is SODIMM???

Yes definitely you can do 8+16, you will get 24gb, but to get 32, you will have to remove the already Installed 8GB, just make sure it is not soldered to the motherboard, and the install two 16GB ram sticks to make it 32gb. You can sell the 8gb if you want to👍🏻

Hey, actually the brand does not matter. Crucial, hyperx, Corsair all are good. Higher the ram speed and lower the cas latency, faster will be the ram. And always dual channel will be better than single channel

Hey, yes in modern gaming laptops it is causing a significant difference. Try finding a 1Rx8 module if you can. It will give you the best performance. Linustechtips also released a video yesterday, you can check it out as well

Dual channel aur single channel alag nhin hota hai, single channel matlab ek hi stick hai yan dono stick same memory channel mein lagi hui hai. Laptops ke case mein dono ram slot alag alag channel hoti hai, toh agar 2 stick lagaoge toh woh automatically dual channel mein chalega, aur agar single lgaoge toh single channel. Pc mein usually 4 slot hote hain 2 ek channel ke aur do dusre channel mein. Dual channel karne ke liye ek stick ek channel mein aur dusri stick dusre channel mein lgani padti hai. Tabhi dual channel mein chalega, dono stick same channel mein lgaoge single channel mein chalega.

Bhai rank hota hai x8 and x16, basically number of chips, x8 mein zyada hoti hai compared to x16, so x8 ke pass zyaada bandwidth hoti hai and performance zyada hoti hai compared to x16👍

Yes you can if your motherboard supports it. Although I would recommend changing the old ram if you can with a new one

The easiest guide Edit:I had a major doubt MY DOUBT:I had bought a 2666mhz ram and it doesn't work properly and goes through laptop startup issues.is that because the maximum handle able frequency was less? I highly doubt that 2400 will be the maximum frequency supported on your laptop. Did you check what it is??

Yes you can no issues. Only thing is that your 3200mhz will downclock and run on the speed of memory that you will buy😀

Is your laptop using a amd ryzen cpu? If yes then you should buy a 3200 one because performance increases with higher ram speed and this is a good option for 3200mhz ram amzn.to/3g4KaPL If you are using an intel one then it does not matter much. Hope this helps😀

Anyhow if you are doing something that is limited by your ram size, adding more ram will increase your performance even if the speed of ram is slower

Sir mera laptop me 2133 MHZ ram laga hua hain main kya same frequency ka ram lagau ya 2400 MHZ laga lu.. Or ek baat mera default Samsung ka ram laga hua hain, kya mai same brand ka ram lagau ya crucial ka laga sakta hu..?

Soldered ram ko change karna bhi thoda tough rehta hai, aap kisi pc shop pe baat kar sakte ho agar unke paas koi tareeka ho

Finally!! After watching your video.. I order a 16 gb ram. It has reached me today. Now I have a total of 20 gb ram. My laptop supports upto 2400mhz ram but I ordered a 3200 mhz ram because I was getting it at a cheaper price!!! But the problem is now my ram is running on a speed of 1866mhz Brother... Please give me a solution if you have any ❤️ I'm sure you'll reply! Thanks!!!!!!
