If you’re strictly doing photo and editing just get the Mac. Get the Lenovo if you prefer Windows

There is a refurbished Lenovo Slim pro 9i for about 1200 on Amazon. Reviews say it’s basically brand new and tons of KZfaq videos say it’s a great laptop for all kinds or stuff.

Best Buy has the Lenovo legion Slim 5 (14 inch) on sale for 1050$ and it’s probably the best laptop you can have for this price.

Trying to decide between legion pro 5i for 1499 and legion pro 7i for 2099. You know all the similarities and differences as well, so do you think the $600 jump can be justified by accounting in the slightly better specs (mostly just the gpu and battery for specs but also keyboard, cooling and metal body) for the future as well and if they will still be enough in 4-5 years? Thanks.

and the specs are slightly better there also. Both have 13900hx, 32gb ram, 1tb ssd and 5i has 4070 8gb but 7i has 4080 with 12gb.

As someone who bought both to test them out, I stuck with the Legion Slim 5 14. Zero regrets after a few months of use. My favorite laptop I’ve ever owned.

I love my slim 5 14 so much. The silent mode is really something else. You will still have at least 90% of its power while the max gpu/cpu temperature won’t go above 65*C although the fans are unexpected quiet.
