You are absolutely right to say that Lara Fabian is in the best singers in the world, but I class her in the 5 best. She is simply phenomenal. And this Juno performance of LOVE BY GRACE is one of her finest VISUAL performances. And besides, WHAT A BEAUTY.

Lara Fabian was born gifted with such a talent for singing. PLUS, she was very well trained by the best opera teachers from Belgium and Italy, but she decided to sing pop songs, she also has the knowledge to sing in operatic way, she studied from her 8 to 18 at the Belgium Conservatory of Music (there she learned Bel Canto, piano [she composes her own songs on piano), she started singing professionaly at the age of 15, in 1985, her first video clipe came when she turned 16, in 1986 and her first world wide album was released at the begin of 1990. Then since 1998 she kept having vocal lessons with her Italian teacher untill nowdays, she has two vocal teachers (From Belgium and Italy) and she keeps having vocal lessons at least 3 times per week on-line. Lara also has been working as a vocal coach on The Voice Canada, she already worked as the vocal coach at the Star Academy program in France from 2004 /2008. She is my top vocalist because she is as skilled vocally as the so-called cocal trinity, she even has a deeper, richer velvety vocal tone in my opinion and this incredible resonance. But IMHO she is way above these when you consider the full package: songwriter in 4 languages, best emotional performer and storyteller, unique ability to channel these emotions directly to your soul. On top of this, she has an amazing personality : benevolent, humble, down-to-earth, smart, spiritual, empathetic and funny.. Thank you for your reaction! Lara Fabian IS my top female vocalist! I suggest watching Adagio (that she Co-wrote), and to really see the emotion she puts in her performances watch Je Suis Malade. She is Dimash’s idol. Also I agree with Eric Sicard’s comment about Eva Cassidy’s cover of Over the Rainbow. There are 2 female singers that stopped me in my tracks and had to immediately find out who they were-Eva Cassidy and Nina Simone.

This song was performed at the JUNO awards ceremony, this is the canadian equivalent of the grammy awards. Love by Grace, the rendition from her From Lara With Love concert, made Lara a star in Brazil when it was used in the soundtrack of a famous local soap opera called Laços de Familia. It topped the brazilian charts for a few months and she was invited in all major brazilian tv shows. Then the song became a recurrent in almost every single brazilian singer contests, the ultimate song to prove your vocal power. So a lot of brazilian covers including a famous recent one from Gabriel Henrique. But Lara’s version is untouchable and remains the absolute reference. I said her version and not the original because Love by Grace is in fact a cover she made of a country song by Wynona Judd. But it was completely revisited as a ballad for Lara and Lara’s version is the one that made it a success WW.

What needs to be added is that she sings the entire song sitting down, which is very difficult, because you have to reach highs and lows and she had no problem, not everyone can do it.
