A large 225 tonne medical grade oxygen tank makes it's way down the wrong side of the A34 escorted by Staffordshire Police with siren and lights in Newcastle-under-Lyme, UK
The 225 tonne oxygen tank, belonging to Air Liquide, was empty. The load was 49m long, 6.5m high and 4.9m wide and transported by Collett Ltd. Due to the abnormally large size, police were available to shut down junctions and escort the convoy down the wrong side of the A34 into the town centre. Various staff were on hand to cut trees, lift BT cables and move roadside furniture to allow for the safe passage of the vehicle.
The load was 1 of 4 to pass through the county of Staffordshire in a period of approximately 6 weeks. Due to the difficult movement of the load and the fact it wont fit on motorways, the journey of each load took 5 days to pass through the county of Staffordshire, including populated areas of Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stafford, Rugeley, Cannock, Sutton Coldfield and other places.
This video was filmed on day 1 of 5.

I was just thinking there's no way I'd want to be the driver or rather drivers of that load. Way to much skill, concentration & responsibility to get it done right. I imagine it's nearly impossible to back up any if you don't get the turn just right. I wouldn't mind being a semi truck driver but that would be way to much for me. Although admittedly I can't be a driver because of bad fibromyalgia. I don't even have a car. Too expensive & I'd get stuck somewhere.
@upsidedown4155

@@Nirrrina thing is aswell you find when they are in the lorry its a normal day at the office for them, when i was a passenger my eyes are everywhere and tense and there alert but chilled driving chatting away about the dodgy curry they had last night, Also drivers have to have serious mechanical sympathy because those gearboxes and clutches can easily be destroyed if simply mistreated let alone abused, And you seriously would feel sick if you see the price tag of those types of trailers they use but they are more then a few wheels on a steel beam lol

I have seen idiocy before, but little to compare with many of the comments on this. For those of limited mental capacity: 1) The TANK is being delivered, not oxygen; 2) Once the TANK has been installed, it’ll be cleaned and filled with medical grade liquid oxygen in the usual way, tanker deliveries; 3) Several smaller tanks would cost a lot more and be more complex to install than one big one, and would require more space and potentially hazardous plumbing; 4) Smaller tanks to deliver the oxygen is irrelevant - it’s the tank that’s being delivered, not what’s in it; 5) Most actual destinations are some distance from a motorway - check a map; 6) Likewise nearly all railway freight yards; 6a) Imagine this thing travelling by train. Think of the railway lines you’ve seen, how far apart they are, the stuff around them, like signals, bridges, overhead power lines. If you can’t see the sheer impossibility of transporting this by train, you really shouldn’t be out by yourself. 7) If you play a video, and actually watch it and listen, you’ll often find that every dumb question you might come up with afterwards was actually answered in the video, often right at the beginning. Amazing! 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

It's truly amazing how they do it. Just a pity how the people in the office keep pushing the time thing and have no idea what's involved. Apart from writing down pick up address and destination

Did they order the new tank because of Covd which I hear some hospitals were strugling with oxygen supplies or was this a planned new tank long before covid does anyone know?

How ancient is that trailer. We use remote control ones. And we also move stuff through populated areas between 2 and 5 am.

An interesting video. A modern Nooteboom trailer with remote steering on all axles would have made the move easier.

Any reason it wasn't transported in multiple smaller loads, or travel by rail freight?
@Twittler1

Many small tanks cost far more and need more complicated plumbing than one big one. Are you serious about rail freight? You must have seen railway tracks - now visualise this on a train. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

not so long ago I saw a video of birds somewhere in an English hospital literally fall out of the air and die. Now there is this, is there a connection?

@Blob B been saying the same thing since February...but what we need to realise is, this is only as deadly as the Corrupt Government and Mainstream media says it is..!! And yes, the government will release a second wave and blame it all on people not listening to guidlines, and advice, which just to remind the sheep out there, is not LAW. once this happens, they will come out with more and more bullshit security measures and restrictions to enlsave people even more. Think im talking rubbish? Message me in 4 months and tell me im right...🤔
