Slicing and dicing a large chunk of Australian opal into gemstones. Navigating around a large piece of opal to try and get the best amount of precious opal out of it.

Had a bit of detective work, but uncovered some beautiful gems. Australia is truly blessed with some amazing natural resources. I'd take a nice long vacation there if I could convince my kids to drop out of college. Bleeding me dry like a herd of anemic vampires. Lol.

Nice one mate. Awesome piece to get to cut down. The length of the time-lapse of cutting was making me dizzy though 😜😵💫🤣

Lol, me too, gave me a headache editing it! I think I might stick to just cutting one stone at a time.

@@opalquest I'm always open to longer episodes or 2 parter's mate. The pile of beautiful stones was awesome to see at the end!

@@opalquest ya, it's difficult to capture the colors. I found that being that I can't afford a good camera set up just yet, I've had to experiment a bit with lighting to capture color in my stones. So far the only thing I've come up with, is to put a piece of yellow -orangish plastic over my light. Seems to help a bit. Not 100% as bright as to the naked eye, but a vast improvement
