These veins really push my buttons

I can tell im gonna have a love/hate relationship with ore veins. Im going to have to spend so much time mining them out.

How fun was it to code these?

I gotta say, these large ore veins will change my long-time mining behaviour, and make life underground much more interesting (aside from all the other awesome changes to caves, esp the addition of the lush ones). For ages now I've eschewed cave exploration in lieu of branch mining, since that was the most efficient (and much safer to boot). But the fact that we can now find a real bonanza in ore by exploring changes that equation. Thanks for the visualization!

I'm really excited for the knowledge that with the coming updates, I'll be able to keep going back to the same mine for quite a few trips whenever I need ore. It makes the location of a mine feel far more impactful.

Man I am so hyped for this change. I once made a similar large ore generation using the COFH mod making massive ore spawns but making a percentage of the ore the actual ore blocks and the rest of fill blocks, but those always ended up more elliptical in generation and because it's using noise to get the actual ore blocks within the ore spawn is, it always seemed more messy. These ones you're developing however are far neater and natural feeling as this seems more cave-like with long tendrils and I absolutely love it! Btw, if you can please also add in some kinda way to modify/tweak the vein frequency, size, density, block types, etc. via things like datapacks for those of us interested that'd be soooooo appreciated ^-^

These are so cool, I’m extremely excited for this. I particularly hope I’ll be able to adjust the frequency, min and max sizes, etc of these veins in the custom world gen settings once this is done! Even in its current form though this is the feature I’ve wanted since I mined my first ore in 2013, thank you so much!

IMO they should be more rare and much lager, it should be worth building a long minecart track all the way back to your base for it to transport the ore, that would be cool. But it looks like most see it differently and want them smaller :(

I have an idea What if you could find those in specific biomes? So players would know where to go if they need tons of copper or iron

They're great! The one thing I don't fell so into is the minimum size for them, seems a bit small, but I haven't tested it in survival yet, so there's that

There's just one thing I don't like, the fact that sometimes you get a loooong branch of "buttons" with 0 ores

I fell like they should be larger because we already have infinite iron farms and now I think copper is a little to hard to get a lot of for building
